Family Affairs Committee of Sharjah Consultative Council visited Dubai Statistics Center (DSC) two days ago in order to review the government efforts in the statistics field.
The Committee was received and welcomed by Mashal Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Director of Family Survey Department of DSC, Ramla Asad Alwahedi, Director of Strategy and Corporate Excellence Office, Khaled El Zein, Senior Project Management Professional, Hussein Al Sayed, Strategy and Corporate Excellence Expert, Ali Al Sallaq, Demographic Statistics Specialist, Hassan Mashmoshi, IT Expertm and Zeinab Al-Hashemi the Secretary.
On the other hand, Committee included Ehsan Musabah Al Suwaidi, Committee Head, Fatema Subaian, Committee Rapporteur, Mohammed Rashid Rashoud, Narwa Naser Al-Sweidi and Sheikha Obeit Al-Toneijy; in addition to Islam Al-Sheiwi and Huda Al-Hamadi from DSC Secretariat.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ehsan Al-Sweidi greeted DSC in behalf of the Head, members and Secretary of Sharjah Consultative Council. She affirmed on the Committee, in the context of reviewing all the statistic centers in UAE, was keen to visit DSC in preparation for the Council's discussion and to allocate a session on statistics and Community Development Department in Sharjah. "being the basic of planning, we are keen on highlighting the various exerted statistic efforts as planning without statistic figures and data is a useless planning" Al-Sweidi explained.
Meanwhile, and before presenting a detailed explanation on the works of the Center, Mashal Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Director of Family Survey Department of DSC, greeted the Council in behalf of DSC Director and staff and expressed that DSC's doors are always open to all delegations who are willing to review the services DSC provides.
