Mohammed Bin Rashid Foundation – a member of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives – sign a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Statistics Center to enhance collaboration and consolidate efforts aiming to exchange statistical data and knowledge between the two entities. The signature was attended by H.E. Jamal Bin Huwerib, Managing Director of Mohammed Bin Rashid Foundation, and H.E. Arif Al Muhairi, DSC Executive Director.

Commenting on the MoU signature, H.E. Jamal Bin Huwerib stressed the importance of effective partnerships between the Foundation and public and private organizations in the UAE. This comes in line with directions of the prudent leadership, aiming to establish vital partnerships to achieve the vision and goals of the UAE government, as well as contribute to the country's quest for sustainable development.

He also stressed that the MoU with DSC is aimed at exchanging information and leveraging data provided by DSC, which supports the Foundation's research, studies and reports. The MoU also provides DSC with the Foundation's expertise on reading, culture, and spreading knowledge.

In turn, Arif Obaid Al Muhairi, DSC Executive Director, highlighted that the Center continues to enhance its network of strategic partnerships with different government entities, and seeks to open new prospects of cooperation, thus serving DCS objectives, realizing benefits for Dubai and its decision makers, and highlighting the effectiveness of using statistical data and information.

"Our partnership with Mohammed Bin Rashid Foundation contributes to enhancing the skills of our staff and developing their knowledge. This is of grave importance to the Center, and is something that can be achieved via partnerships with bodies that support reading, in parallel to the announcement made by HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, that 2016 is the year for reading. This also comes in line with the 2026 National Reading Strategy being approved by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai", he concluded.
