Saudi GACA Delegation Witnesses the Best Technological Practices At the DSC
On Thursday March 19th 2015 a delegation from the Information Center and Statistical Studies at the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia was received at The Dubai Statistics Center; that happens during a visit to the DSC by 13 officials form the GACA in order to be familiarized with work and performance practices in the field of information and statistical studies implemented by the DSC as a leading model with a distinguished experience.
Mr. Ahmed Al Dashni, General Director of IT and Central Statistical Systems, has welcomed the honorable delegation that included: Eng. Saad Al Ghamdi, Director of Information Center and Studies; Eng. Adbul-Rahman Hamdi Alsufiyani, top database management specialist; Mr. Metab Mutaib Al Otaibi, top analyst of statistical reports; Mr. Akram Khalil Makkawy, Eng. Naef Abdullah Refai, Eng. Abdullah Saleh Thafid, analysts of statistical reports; Mr. Tariq Abdullah Al- Zahrani, statistical reporting coordinator and Malek Al Omari, Work Progress Administrator at LEVENBERT Company. The DSC represented by Mr. Juma Al Hosani, Director of Population and Social Statistics; Afaf Bo Assibah, Director of Economic Statistics and Mr. Meshal Alhammadi, Director of Statistical Surveys and Frames.
Mr. Hassan Mashmushi, an IT expert, has presented a detailed explanation on the DSC indicators system and the smart statistics suite and how to geographically review statistical information. The suite has been thoroughly improved and transformed into a high smart system capable of reading databases and forming statistical reports form databases belonging to different sources by means of smart devices fed and updated through direct statistical integration with such sources. The delegation has also been acquainted with the DSC interactive system, the survey system and Dubai Smart Statistics App, which allows for an easy access to data and statistics reports and facilitates the process of preparing them at any time anywhere in various fields.
The delegation visit is considered part of the efforts to seek means of cooperation between the DSC and the General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia in a time when statistical work constitutes a strategic importance as an important future-making tool.
