The Deputy Executive Director in DSC Tariq Al Janahi said: "The Sheikh Zayed Book Award combines all the elements of pride and esteem. It is an award with a great figure's name that goes to another great figure. An award named after a leader that goes to a leader".

He pointed out: "His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai is one of the most prominent cultural figures known in contemporary history, because of his cultural and poetic contributions which are of considerable value in the field of Arabic culture. Also his books like for example "My Vision" are considered as a new concept by themselves and a source of education, culture and wisdom. They form a new cultural principle sought by the leader of ingenuity Mohammed Bin Rashid".

He added: "His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid is a leader who knows the importance of culture and its high value; this is why he took in charge to support and help culture and intellectuals. His good deeds are undisputed in this field, and the contemporary cultural Arab history in particular will be in debt for this man for his doings all over the years. He deserves by that and with all worth the highest and most precious awards which is the Award of the late father and leader Sheikh Zayed."
