Statistical concepts and definitions
Residents: Emirati and non-Emirati population who are usual residents in the Emirate of Dubai.
- Non-residents: visitors who are not residents of the country, and their duration of stay is usually short.
Service exports: the values of all services provided by individuals or companies residing in the economy of the Emirate of Dubai to non-residents.
- Service imports: the values of all services provided by individuals or non-resident companies to residents of the economy of the Emirate of Dubai.

The project was implemented according to GSBPM where it takes into consideration statistical quality scopes according to Statistical data quality charter for the Emirate of Dubai that is adopted by the center specially those related accuracy, objectivity and comparability, since the classifications and methodologies used make the results of this project comparable on national regional and international levels being based on international classifications and methodologies.
