Dubai's Construction Cost Index Drops by 0.22% in First Quarter of 2020

The Construction Cost Index dropped by 0.22% in the first quarter of 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, as the residential building prices dropped by 0.22%, while the non-residential building prices dropped by 0.21%.

Comparing the Construction Cost Index of the first quarter of 2020 with that of the first quarter of 2019, a drop of 1.75 of construction prices is noted, whereas the residential building prices dropped by 1.60%, while the non-residential building prices dropped by 1.44%.

Construction Cost General Index

Prices of Materials used in construction of buildings dropped by 0.37%, as a result of the drop of the prices of Manufacturing by 0.39%.

Whereas the prices of Hiring of Equipment, Labor Wages and Other Costs were stabilized.

Residential Buildings

Prices of Materials used in construction of residential buildings dropped by 0.36%, as a result of the drop of the prices of Manufacturing by 0.38%.

Whereas the prices of Hiring of Equipment, Labor Wages and Other Costs were stabilized.

Non-Residential Buildings

Prices of Materials used in construction of non-residential buildings dropped by 0.40%, as a result of the drop of the prices of Manufacturing by 0.42%.

Whereas the prices of Hiring of Equipment, Labor Wages and Other Costs were stabilized.

Construction Cost General Index

Prices of Materials used in construction of buildings dropped by 2.62%, as a result of the drop of the prices of Mining and Quarrying by 4.63% and drop of Manufacturing by 2.50%.

Whereas the prices of Hiring of Equipment, Labor Wages and Other Costs were stabilized.

Residential Buildings

Prices of Materials used in construction of residential buildings dropped by 2.60%, as a result of the drop of the prices of Mining and Quarrying by 4.63% and drop of Manufacturing by 2.48%.

Whereas the prices of Hiring of Equipment, Labor Wages and Other Costs were stabilized.

Non-Residential Buildings

Prices of Materials used in construction of non-residential buildings dropped by 2.69%, as a result of the drop of the prices of Mining and Quarrying by 4.62% and drop of Manufacturing by 2.59%.

Whereas the prices of Hiring of Equipment, Labor Wages and Other Costs were stabilized.
