Underscored that the Achievement Proves the Emirati’s High Potentials and Leadership

Officials and Directors of departments in the Emirate of Dubai underlined that launching "KhalifaSat" marks a new era in the national space sector and a new milestone to be added to the State's record of achievements in various scientific and technical fields, reported.

They put the accent on the fact that this achievement proves the potentials and leadership qualities that the Emirati citizens enjoy who has the will and the knowledge to implement the vision of the UAE wise leadership, i.e. to be a leading center of space science and that the Emirati youth are able to shape the future, in addition to turning UAE into a leading country in space science area globally.

They all hailed the efforts exerted of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center whose engineers built the satellite.

 

The Arab Day

H.E. Arif Al Muhairi, Executive Director of Dubai Statistics Center (DSC), said: "It is the day in which a new history is written not only for the UAE but for all the Arabs. It is indeed the day in which the UAE proves to be at the forefront of the Gulf region and is well on the way to shaping the future according to a sound strategic framework set by late Sheikh Zayed and the founders of UAE whose successors are determined to follow their footsteps in achieving development and winning challenges."

 

"Since the founding father received the NASA team in 1967 and was briefed on the details of the Apollo trip to the moon, the Emiratis raised their eyes to space and drew up their own route to that spot. It is in 2018 when they realized their dream building their 100% Emirati satellite," Al Muhairi stated.

 

He wondered: "What type of leaders we have? Leaders who do not recognize words of difficulties or impossible in their dictionary! Leaders of deed not words and thanks for them and see you on the surface of Mars soon."

 

Embracing the Space

Tariq Al Janahi, Deputy Executive Director of DSC, said: "If KhalifaSat is embracing space, then let the history record that the UAE's wise leadership and their nation are of the type who keep their promises. Our leaders have already developed the vision and strategy to meet the high aspirations at the highest levels."

 

Al Janahi showed his great pride by the achievement hailing the UAE leadership and the youth by stating: "Here we are, and these are our young men who build by themselves KhalifSat to establish a new glory for the Arabs. This is the UAE that servs as a platform for science, development, prosperity, peace and well-being despite the unstable conditions surrounding it. This is how it was and will continue to be with God willing as a platform for human development and happiness."

 

Congratulations

Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, extended his sincerest greetings and congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their brother Sheikhs members of the Federal Supreme Council and Rulers of the emirates, for the successful launch of satellite KhalifaSat from The Tanegashima Space Center in Japan. "KhalifaSat is the first satellite produced by sole Emirati hands by 100%."

 

Al Marri stated that this is a historical and national day for "We, sons of Zayed, are proud for penetrating to the space industries filed and we must be proud for being the first Arab country to produce a satellite with state-of-the-art technological equipment and most importantly by the Emirati hands," Al Marri said. He signed off by congratulating the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Science and all its staff for their pronounced efforts and their keenness to raise the name of the nation high.

 

Success

On this occasion, Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World and Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, said: "Launching KhalifaSat successfully reflects the progress achieved by the UAE in the field of space and thanks go to His Highness the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan."

 

He added: "UAE has been able to establish its global position among the developed countries in space leadership through the project of the "Hope Probe" along the participation of two Emirati young men in space missions. This is looked at as the culmination of a long journey of scientific development achieved by UAE through the advancement of its capabilities in all areas and through topping the top spots in the area of creativity and innovation through its effective contribution in leading the Fourth Industrial Revolution."

 

Quantum Leap

"Launching the UAE KhalifaSat was the result of the efforts of His Highness President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to ensure that UAE put firm hands on the top spot in various fields," said H.E. Daoud Al Hajeri, Director General of Dubai Municipality.

 

H.E. Al Hajeri stated that UAE has the right to be proud for launching the first satellite produced by Emirati young men by 100%. "This, for sure, proves the competency, creditworthiness, capability and enthusiasm of late Sheikh Zayed's sons. This is what the late founder instilled in this nation decades ago and paved the way to realize such a great achievement which is a quantum leap and a solid base for localization of space industries."

 

Vision

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), said that launching the satellite named after His Highness the President of the UAE in the Year of Zayed underscores the vision of our wise leadership. "Such vision is not only shaping the future, but also is creating it and so keen to invest in the sons and daughters of our beloved homeland."

In a press statement on the occasion of launching KhalifaSat, H.E. Al TAyer stated: "This is an unprecedented achievement in whole Arab world. It is the direct result that the AUE wise leadership created the environment that stimulates creativity and providing all the necessary capabilities to achieve leadership and excellence while following footsteps of the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul in peace, who cared about education and encouraged the UAE nation to participate actively in all fields."

 

Preserving the Earth

Abdul Rahman Saleh Al Saleh, Director General of the Department of Finance, said: "The UAE has played an important role in both preserving the earth and the space industry." He considers the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center of Dubai Government is a great representation of the vision of the UAE wise leadership in this field.

 

On the occasion of the successful launch of KhalifaSat to its orbit around the Earth, he stated: "This satellite eligibly holds the name of His Highness the President of the UAE, who spares no efforts in making UAE at the top spot in all fields turning it into a developed country, even to outperform many of them." He pointed out that through images transmitted by KhalifaSat of the Earth, sends a message to the whole world that the UAE is a strong supporter of scientific progress and an unquenchable supporter of human development in various fields.

 

Indicator

Ahmed Abdul Karim Julfar, Director General of Dubai Community Development Authority stated on this occasion: "Definitely, the successful launch of KhalifaSat and being placed in its orbit are a strong indication of the maturity of the UAE's experience in space filed. It marks the kickoff of a new phase featured by the UAE taking the lead in the field of space technology and related sciences locally and globally. It also affirms that the UAE will go forward in its technical and scientific journey, and so creating added value experiences to all humanity."

 

Exceptional Event

Khalif Bin Dari, Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services pointed out that KhalifaSat is a great achievement for the UAE and its loyal citizens. "It is an exceptional event."

 

He added: "It is a historic moment in which the UAE reap the fruits of what its sons' and scientists' created and were up to the expectations of the leadership. "Having said that, our ambitions to embrace the space is so handy."

 

Iconic Achievement

H.E. Dr. Aisha Bint Butti Bin Bishr Director General Smart Dubai Office confirmed that the UAE has launched KhalifaSat as an icon signed by Zayed's children to be an evidence from space on all our achievements in all over the world.

"Launching KhalifaSat is a direct message for each one of us that there is no limit to what we can accomplish, considering that our wise leadership has eliminated the word "impossible" from our dictionary and push us to wake up every morning with a new challenge," Dr. Aisha said.

 

She added: "Launching KhalifaSat comes shortly after the selection and announcement of the first UAE astronauts. It is a message to the whole world that our ambitions to be achieved in the space sector will be pursued as per firm and practical plans." She underscored that "This achievement refutes the claims that Emirati professionals is qualified in certain sectors but could not work in others."

 

Spearheading

Ahmed Mahbub Msabah, Director of Dubai Customs, congratulated the UAE wise leadership on the historical and breakthrough moment in the history of the UAE by launching KhalifaSat, the first Emirati satellite ever, which he considered as an engineering icon created by pure Emirati efforts. He stressed: "The massive and intense support furnished by the wise leadership led to establishing public authorities and institutions dedicated for promoting scientific research and exploration. All these sincere efforts made us live this historical moment."

 

He signed off by stating: "The UAE's plans and aspirations will never soar below the skies and will always embrace the space. Definitely, the "Hope Probe" will have a significant impact on the UAE and be one of the leading countries in all fields."
