Smart Dubai Grants Al Janahi a Certified Happy Citizen Practitioner Certificate

Al Muhairi: Making People Happy is a Strategic Priority for Our Wise Leadership and We Do Support the Happiness Agenda
H.E. Arif Al Muhairi, Executive Director of Dubai Statistics Center (DSC) received H.E. Dr. Aisha Bin Bishr, Director-General of the Smart Dubai Office (SDO) on Monday 22nd July 2019 at the DSC premises.
During her visit and in the presence of H.E. Arif Al Muhairi, H.E. Dr. Aisha Bin Bishr handed over the certificate of “Happy Citizen Practitioner” to Tariq Al Janahi, Deputy Executive Director of DSC and CEO of Happiness and Quality of Life. The certificate is accredited from the Danish Design Centre, Copenhagen Institution of Interaction Design and Innovation Laboratory following Al Janahi's completion of the Dubai City Smart City's “City Design” training program in November 2018 in Copenhagen.
Following the honoring ceremony, the officials of DSC and SDO tackled several issues related to the joint work between both institutions, aspects of boosting partnerships in the field of smart data services and carrying out happiness initiatives dedicated to various targeted groups.
Extending Congrats and Hailing the Efforts
H.E. Al Muhairi availed the opportunity to extend his sincerest congratulations to Tariq Al Janahi for receiving the certificate. He also praised the SDO key role in boosting the capabilities of government institutions to create happiness according to the up-to-date scientific methodologies and best future practices.
“Happiness Champions of Dubai government institutions play an important role in creating happiness and in government integration,” Al Muhairi said. He added that they create a professional government network that has onboard the elite government officials from different government departments, authorities and institutions.
Al Muhairi assured H.E. Dr. Aisha that DSC supports the happiness agenda of Dubai Government and seeks to be one of the leading players in achieving its goals. He stated: “We all support the happiness agenda, bearing in mind that the UAE wise leadership looks at making people happy as a strategic priority.”
In turn, H.E. Dr. Aisha Bin Bishr underlined the importance of the role of statistical work in boosting the efficiency of planning and decision-making processes. She undelined its strategic significance in future-shaping and empowering government institutions to make people happy.
Dr. Aisha hailed the active participation of the DSC’s representative in the second training program dedicated to the Happiness Champions under the theme of “City Design”.
“The ‘City Design’ is one of the initiatives of “Happiness Agenda” adopted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in 2016. On its part, SDO adopted the agenda to promote the happiness levels of the city through implementing initiatives and programs that support the humans’ happiness,” she pointed out.
H.E. Dr. Aisha also stated: “SDO organized two training programs for the Happiness Champions. The first program was held at the Disney Institute in the USA to qualify and train the champions in the field of services quality. The second program involved offering 31 participants of the Happiness Champions representing more than 26 government and non-government entities of Dubai the opportunity to travel to Denmark. They all joined an advanced training program held under the theme of “City Design” in cooperation with the Knowledge Center for Modern Technologies, Research Activities, Product Development and Welfare. The training program included conducting various scientific and professional meetings and events that have added more to the capabilities of the Happiness Champions over the past two years.
