Signs MoU with Dubai Statistics to Share Studies and Expertise

"Securities and Commodities" Surveys Investors' Happiness and Satisfaction
With the aim to promote further mutual cooperation, Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Statistics Center (DSC). The MoU was signed by Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi, Chief Executive Officer of SCA and Mr. Aref Obaid Al Muhairi, Executive Director of DSC.
The signed MoU foresees the exchange of experiences and studies, cooperation in areas of exchanging knowledge and practical experience of initiatives, experiences and activities that promote positivity, job loyalty and happiness in the inner work place environment, besides launching joint initiatives as part of SCA and DSC contributions to the National Happiness and Positivity Program.
Furthermore, the MoU provided for the exchange of local and international studies on happiness and quality of life issued by accredited and reliable entities, as well as exchanging studies and statistics on the percentage and confidence of local and foreign investors in the UAE capital markets.
It is established by the signed memorandum that SCA and DSC will cooperate within the framework of sharing knowledge and practical experiences as part of their contributions to the National Happiness and Positivity Program, exchanging local and international studies on happiness and quality of life issued by the accredited bodies, conducting surveys and polls to measure the happiness and satisfaction of local and foreign investors with their dealing in the UAE capital markets and exchanging experiences and activities to promote positivity, job loyalty and happiness in the internal work environment.
Under this memorandum, the two sides will cooperate in conducting any surveys and polls to measure the happiness and satisfaction of local and foreign investors with their dealings in the UAE capital markets and in accordance with the policies in place of either party.
"Signing the MoU marks the joint desire of the two sides to contribute constructively to the efforts, plans and programs of UAE's economic development and in recognition of the common interests in the development of bilateral relations, as well as it stems out from the belief that cooperation between SCA and DSC will contribute to local development," stated Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi. He added that this MoU aims to explore windows of opportunities of further cooperation and boosting it in the manner that makes it possible for both parties to take advantage of each party's capacities and to promote opportunities for achieving happiness and positivity at the professional level.
Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi hailed the role played by DSC- being the official source of statistics in Dubai- in the field of collecting, classifying and analyzing statistical data and information, preparation and dissemination of statistical indices and reports, regulation of statistical activities and the conduct of surveys and polls.
Arif Obaid Al Muhairi, Executive Director of DSC, said: "The happiness industry has become a strategic direction for UAE. Unquestionably, achieving happiness and well-being requires the integration and of government strategies and synergy of its efforts, in addition to transparency in transferring successful experiences. Indeed, this what we are aiming to achieve through this MoU."
