Abdullah Al Marri: Strategic Relationships Contribute to The Development of Future Plans

Arif Al Muhairi: Statistics Enhance Competitiveness in Various Fields Including "Security Competitiveness"

 

In their efforts to promote the partnership between the Dubai Police General Headquarters and the Dubai Statistics Center (DSC), H.E. Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, and H.E. Arif Obaid Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the DSC, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aiming to boost the level of strategic cooperation between the two entities.

 

The signing ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Dr. Ghaith Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of the Dubai Police Academy, Colonel Dr. Saleh Al Hamrani, Deputy Director-General of Excellence and Leadership, Colonel Khaled Ali Bin Muweiza, Deputy Director General of the Directorate General for Drug Control; Tariq Al Janahi, Deputy Executive Director of DCS, as well as Afaf Bu Osieba, Director of the Economic Statistics Department, along with a number of officials and directors from both parties.

 

Following the signing of the MoU, the visiting delegation, headed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, was briefed on the latest statistical technology and related solutions. H.E. Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri stated: "Signing the MoU with the DSC comes as a result of Dubai Police General Headquarters' commitment to boosting strategic partnership relations with a number of government entities. We are aiming to achieve positive results and take advantage of the capabilities of the DSC in order to support the strategic plans of the Dubai Police in various security, traffic, criminal and community sectors, as well as to contribute to the development of future plans."

 

"The Dubai Police seeks to make use of the DSC's outputs, harnessing all statistical indicators and transforming the information into smart systems so as to realize the strategic direction of Dubai Police," added Major General Al Marri. He concluded: "We will work together with the DSC to further consolidate the foundations of safety and security - and to accelerate the process of development which the Dubai Police is so eager to promote among all sectors and segments of society."

 

H.E. Al Muhairi hailed the high level of interest on the part of the Dubai Police General Headquarters in planning according to scientific principles and employing state-of-the-art technology, thereby driving their planning and security performance forward and elevating them to the highest standards. H.E. Al Muhairi added: "The statistical solutions and advanced data technology will play an important role in achieving these ambitious goals. Definitely, statistics enhance the competitiveness of countries and cities in various fields, including the security field."

 

He pointed out: "There are many leading projects and initiatives implemented by the DSC in cooperation with Dubai Police, and there are many more future initiatives which will lead towards achieving a quantum leap forward in statistical work." He concluded his press statement by stressing the fact that, although the DSC is consistently staying informed on global best practices, the innovation policy nevertheless also plays an important role in our statistical solutions and techniques.

 

By the end of the ceremony and in the presence of the Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, H.E. Arif Al Muhair honored the team members of the Dubai Police General Headquarters in recognition of the efforts and their unceasing cooperation and support to the DSC - and for playing a key role in the development and success of joint initiatives and projects.
