“Dubai Statistics” Magnifies Data Collection Efforts on Employees of Economic Sectors

H.E. Arif Obaid Al Muhairi, Executive Director of Dubai Statistics Center (DSC), has recently announced that DSC has taken all the necessary measures to expand the processes of data collection related to employees working in the economic sectors soon.

 

Al Muhairi pointed out that the new step aims to collect detailed data on human resources and the progress of the Emiratization process within this sector and to provide the necessary information required to measure the Emiratization indices. 

 

“The expansion covers all data of Dubai in various economic sectors, including transport, industry, trade, construction, real estate, and other several sectors.” Al Muhairi stated. 

 

He also said: “DSC plays a prominent role in providing support information to measure the progress of the strategic plan within the Emirate of Dubai. To provide detailed information on human resources, DSC extracts information from the records and data of economic surveys conducted for this purpose.” 

 

He added: “Statistical data and information is a fundamental pillar of planning and decision-making processes adopted by the government leaders and the business community. Such information enjoys high importance for supporting all these sectors.” 

 

“All processes that are put in place by DSC to issue the indicators and statistical data are in line with the latest internationally-adopted statistical standards,” Al Muhairi stressed. 

 

Highlighting the services provided by DSC task forces and how such services help all components of the Dubai community. He said: “DSC teams design and implement population, social and economic statistical studies and surveys in Dubai. Moreover, they provide high-quality statistical data and information to decision-makers, government entities, the business community, media, researchers, individuals, and the international community. The teams also develop population, economic, and social statistical indicators according to best practices as benchmarks at the level of Dubai.”
