Aref Al Muhairi, DSC CEO, told 'Al Bayan' that the new 2016-2021 DSC Strategic Plan is based on innovation, happiness, and smart transformation. It is an ambitious plan that aligns with the objectives of Dubai 2021 Plan and the National Agenda. The Plan includes two key themes; the first is a statistically leading and integrated government aiming to lay down a leading statistical foundation that enables planners and decision makers to plan effectively and take the right decisions. It also enables relevant organizations to implement Dubai 2021 Strategic Plan with high efficiency, and supports them in realizing happiness and Dubai's Vision.
The second theme is a key enabler to economy and society, and aims to achieve the highest levels of transparency and reliability of official statistics, as well as enhancing DSC's role in social and economic development, while providing a fully integrated statistical environment that supports knowledge and scientific research.
