Dubai Sees 1887 Units in Q1 2019 Valued At 7.2 Billion Dirhams

Dubai observed the completion of 1887 new units valued at 7 billion and 248 million dirhams during the first quarter of 2018, Dubai Statistics Center "DSC" reported.

The statistical report revealed that the new completed units distributed as follows: 519 Private Villas at a value of 949 million dirhams, 1100 Investment Villas costing 817 million dirhams, 42 Industrial Units value 174 million dirhams, 88 building and 590 public facilities at a value of 590 million dirhams, 85 Multi-Storey Units costing 2 billion and 818 million dirhams and 53 Multi-Storey Ratio Buildings at a cost of 900 million dirhams.

The report also shows that the total number of hotels by the end of the first quarter was 521 hotels, apartment hotels 196. Figures show that the total number of hotel rooms were 93,304 and the number of the apartment rooms stood at 24,735. Meanwhile, the total number of visitors to Dubai during the first quarter was 4,750,000. Additionally, the total number of marriage certificates issued in Dubai during the same period was 1,234 certificates compared to 330 divorce certificates.

Transportation

During Q1-19, the number of Dubai Metro passengers was 52,500,367 passengers out of which 34,439,989 passengers used the red route compared to 18,260,378 passengers used the green route. The total number of passengers used the “Tram” was 1,638,666 compared to 28,316,635 passengers used the public buses.

As for the maritime transportation, passengers used Abras were 3,630,827, Water Bus were 90,999 and Dubai Ferry were 44,379 passengers.
