Dubai Population hits a Growth Rate of 6.1% by H1 2019

The latest demographic statistics released by the Dubai Statistics Center (DSC) by the end of the second quarter of 2019 have unveiled that the number of individuals habitually domiciled and resident in Dubai are counted for 3,272,415 hitting a rise by 192,250 compared to the same period in 2018 when the total number of Dubai’s population was 3,8000,165. Dubai’s population stood a growth rate of 6.1 percent.

DSC reported that the number of males out of the total number of Dubai population by Q2-2019 reached 2,277,290 accounting for 69.6 percent. In the meantime, the total number of females reached 955,125 accounting 30.4 percent of Dubai population. Numbers of Q2-2019 stood at a rise compared to a total number of males in Q2-2018 who accounted for 2,155,115 and females were 925,050.

In another context, a total of 2,399 marriage contracts were registered during January- June 2019, while divorce certificates registered during the same period accounted for 639, according to data released by DSC.

The data show that marriage contracts included 1506 marriage contracts between non-Emirati couples, 479 marriage contracts between Emirati couples, 279 between an Emirati husband and non-Emirati wife and 74 marriage contracts between an Emirati wife and non-Emirati spouse. Divorce certificates included 401 divorce certificates between non-Emirati couples, 144 divorce certificates between Emirati couples, 67 divorce certificates an Emirati husband and non-Emirati wife, and 27 divorce certificates tween an Emirati wife and non-Emirati spouse.

The data of DSC report revealed that marriage contracts between non-Emirati couples accounted for 1506, 479 contracts between Emirati couples, 279 mixed marriages between an Emirati male and a non-Emirati female and 74 marriage contracts between an Emirati female and non-Emirati male. On the other hand, divorce certificates registered between non-Emirati couples accounted for 401, 144 between Emirati couples, 67 between an Emirati male and a non-Emirati female and 27 marriage contracts between an Emirati female and non-Emirati male.
