Smart "Karar" system wins Gold Stevie Award, the prize was awarded to both the General Secretariat Executive Council and Dubai Statistics Center for the best Information Technology Team.
The team responsible for developing and managing "Karar" smart system for decision support and monitoring the implementation of Dubai Plan 2021 index and programs, celebrated this occasion at executive council head quarter in Emirates Towers. His Excellency Abdullah Al Shaibani expressed his pride of the achievement of "Karar" System executive team pointing out the continuous efforts exerted by Dubai government to commit to the international best practices. "Karar" system was developed in parallel with the launch of Dubai Plan 2021 to ensure the smooth flow of information and resources to support decision makers from top leadership to monitor the strategic programs and initiatives applied by various governmental entities and to be aware of the competitive performance index and benchmarks Dubai is pursuing to achieve the top ranks in various fields.
He added that "Karar" –the system which was developed and implemented by the IT team of the General Secretariat Executive Council and Dubai Statistics Center- winning this gold award is considered to be a tribute and a recognition to the efforts of the work team which contributed in the integration of the technical jobs upon which Dubai's decision makers are relying to be up-to-date with the different levels of achievements in real time. This requires a close and ongoing follow up from the team to maintain the sustainability of the results forecasted to be available smoothly and accurately.

From his side, Arif Al Muhairi, DSC CEO, expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Excellency Abdulla Abdul Rahman Al Shaibani - Secretary General of the Executive Council of Dubai and the General Secretariat work team for the level of the ongoing cooperation, praising the team spirit of the General Secretariat team.
