Recent data of Dubai Statistics Center (DSC) unveiled that the total number of marriage contracts concluded in Dubai was 4394 against 1484 divorce certificates issued in 2017. As for the total number of births in Dubai, it was 31,585 of which male newborns accounted for 51.42%.
Data also show that 2485 death cases were registered in Dubai during 2017 (72.23% were males). Meanwhile, the number of Dubai's population reached 2,976,000 of whom 29.84% are females.
In details, DSC's data has revealed that the total number of births in Dubai was 31,585 in 2017 out of whom males were 16,242 representing 51.41% against 15,343 females who represent 45.58% of the total newborns of 2017.
By the end of Q1 of 2018, the number of newborns of 2017 was 7965 compared to 7871 in Q2 and 7736 and 8012 in Q3 and Q4 respectively.
Furthermore, data revealed that the number of marriage contracts concluded by the end of 2017 was 4394 against 1484 divorce certificates.
The highest number of marriage contracts was in Q1 of 2017 by 1153 compared to 1052 in Q2 and 1054 and 1135 in Q3 and Q4 respectively. As for the divorce certificates, a total number of 367 certificates were issued by Q1 of 2017 compared to 382 in Q2 and 387 and 384 in Q3 and Q4 respectively.
According to DSC's data, 2485 death cases were registered in Dubai during 2017 out of which were 1795 males by 72.33% against 690 death cases for females representing 27.77%.
By the end of Q1 of 2017 639 death cases were registered compared to 699 in Q2 and 553 and 594 in Q3 and Q4 respectively.
Dubai's population during 2017 counted 2,976,000 people of who there are nearly two million and 88 thousand are males counting for 70.16%. While the total number of females was 888,000 counting for 29.84% of the total population. The number of active persons during the hours in Dubai was nearly 4,163,000 people.
