Data revealed by the Dubai Statistics Center, issued by Dubai Municipality, showed that the total number of buildings and residential units completed within the first five months of 2020 reached 12259 buildings and apartments, out of which 1719 apartments were completed in May. Residential Apartments topped the list of completed units, numbered 10254 units, at (38.6%), followed by retail shops, in the second place, numbered 611 shops, at (5%), then Private Villas in the third place, numbered 568 Villas at (4.6%). In the fourth place, Investment Villas numbered 562 Villas at (4.3%). Industrial Buildings came in the fifth place and numbered 73 buildings at (0.6%). Multi-Misspelled WordStorey" and General Buildings possessed the sixth and seventh places and numbered 177 and 50 buildings respectively. The data of "Dubai Municipality" also shown that 1417 Residential Apartments, 102 Private Villas, 82 Retail Shop, 81 Investment Villa, 21 Multi-Misspelled WordStorey Buildings, 6 Industrial Buildings and 4 General Buildings were completed in May.
The total value of completed buildings in Dubai, during the First Quarter of 2020, was AED 8.5 Billion with a growth rate of 18% compared to the same period of last year, which valued AED 7.2 Billion.
