Data from Dubai
Statistics Centre (DSC) indicated that the total number of residential units in
Dubai reached about 686,480 at the end of last year, compared to 621,368 units
in 2018 with an increase reached up to 65,112 new units, and with 10.48% growth
rate.
According to data
obtained by “Emirates Today”, apartments acquired the majority of residential
units, registering about 542,604 apartments, with a share reached up to 79.04%
of the total number of the unites. Whereas, the number of Villa units reached
about 120,545 unites with acquisition rate of 17.56%. Moreover, the Center
indicated by these data that the total number of completed buildings in Dubai
at the end of last year reached 160 thousand and 128 buildings, of which about
149 thousand in urban areas and about 11 thousand in rural areas.
While the number of
investment villas reached about 77
thousand and 802 villas and acquired a ratio of 48.59% of the total number of
completed buildings in the Dubai at the end of 2019, followed by private villas
registering about 42 thousand and 743 villas with a share of 26.69%.
