Completed buildings in Dubai during the last quarter of 2014 have witnessed an increase of about 39% reaching 1649 buildings, compared to the number of buildings completed by the end of 2013 which was 1183 buildings, according to data obtained from Dubai Statistics Center.
Depending on the statistics of Dubai Municipality, the data obtained from the DSC indicated a 4.2% decline in the number of buildings in Dubai during 2014 reaching 5040 buildings, compared to the 5264 buildings during 2013.
Private villas have constituted one half of the completed buildings by 50.73% reaching 2557 buildings, investment villas come second reaching 1650 buildings constituting 32.7% of the total number of completed buildings, followed by industrial buildings which constitute 7.1% represented in 358 buildings. Multi-storey buildings constitute 4.3% represented in 220 buildings, while the 174 public buildings represent 3.4%, and the 81 floor area ratio buildings represent 1.6% of the total number of completed buildings.
