4.3 Million Guests at Dubai Hotels during Q1 2015, up by 13%

Dubai Statistics Center data issued by the Tourism and Commercial Marketing Department revealed that hotels and hotel apartments in Dubai received nearly 3 million and 413 thousand guests during the first quarter of 205 compared to 3 million and fifteen thousand for the same period last year, which is an increase of 13%.

The number of nights spent by guests in Dubai during the first quarter of this year by 10% to 13.7 million nights compared to 111.9 million nights during the first quarter of 2014, with an increase of 1.1.6 million nights.

According to the data of the Tourism and Commercial Marketing Department published by Dubai Statistics Center, the number of hotels and hotel apartment in Dubai increased by 7% during the first quarter of 2015 by 43 hotel facility. The number of hotel facilities reached 665 compared to 622 for the first quarter of last year.

The number of hotel rooms and apartments increased in Dubai during the first quarter of the year 2015 by 10% by 81212 hotel apartment and room from 86,000 during the first quarters of 2014 to 94,000 hotel apartment and room in 2015.

In detail, the number of visitors to Dubai hotels increased by nearly 14% from 2.38 million visitors in the first quarter of 2014 to 2.7 million visitor during the first quarter of 2015, therefore, the number of nights spent by visits increased by 9% to 9.05 million nights during the first quarter of 2015 compared to 8.33 million visitors during the first quarter of 2014.

Hotel numbers increased by 6% by 27 hotels from 422 hotels during the first quarter of 2014 to 449 hotels for the same period of this year. The number of rooms increased by 9% by 5947 hotel rooms from 62726 room to 68673 room, as for guests of hotel apartments, their numbers increased by 12% or 74,326 guests from 629,716 guests to 704,000 guests, therefore, the number of nights spent by these guests increased by 12% by 444.8 thousand nights from 3.56 million nights during the first quarter of 2014 to 4.01 million nights during the same period of 2015. The numbers of hotel apartment buildings increased by 8% by 16 hotel buildings from 200 hotel buildings in the first quarter of 2014 to 216 building for the same period of 2015, which increased the number of residential apartments by 10% or by 2265 apartments from 23379 apartments in 2014 to 25544 apartments in 2015.
