The Dubai Statistics Centre, DSC, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with the Security Industry Regulatory Agency, SIRA, with the aim of achieving integration, promoting joint cooperation and developing their bilateral relations.

The MoU was signed by Arif Obaid Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the DSC, and Khalifah Al Sulais, CEO of the SIRA, at the headquarters of the DSC, with the attendance of several officials from both sides.

Al Muhairi said that statistical work is based on partnerships, and the DSC's partnership with the SIRA will support their message equally.

"We are building an integrated administrative, technological and technical system. As well as our specialist work, we have considered other institutional factors, such as strengthening our statistical capabilities, planning and decision-making, and creating our policies based on scientific foundations, which requires the availability of statistical information," Al Sulais said.

According to the MoU, the DSC will offer statistical support by providing reports and statistical indicators to the second party, to support its planning and decision-making. It will also offer consultations and statistical technologies, as well as organize statistical training programs.

SIRA will offer institutional statistical entries and security data to the DSC, as well as consultations on security systems, protection and administrative systems, which will help protect lives and possessions while applying the best international practices in this area, in addition to conducting specialized training programs to further improve DSC employees' security awareness.
