Brig. Rashid Khalifa Al Falasi, Assist. Director-General for Smart Services at Dubai Civil Defense and H.E. Tariq Al Janahi, Deputy Executive Director of Dubai Statistic Center (DSC), have reviewed during the mutual meeting convened at the DSC's meeting hall, the main points scheduled in the business agenda and suggestions, raised to foster means of cooperation and exchange of accumulated experiences between the two parties.
Both parties concurred on conducting routine joint workshops in areas of specialties, to share best practices applied, reviewing business operational plans, making use of technological and technical expertise, and working to enhance smart systems efficiency and effectiveness, which is regarded as the main factors required to ensure excellence indicators sustainability.
An illustrative presentation on DSC’s statistics was demonstrated, followed by a reading of the Dubai population percentage indicators, and how it is calculated according to the latest smart systems owned by DSC, and the means in which the DSC employs innovative mechanisms in all specialized operations.
Al Falasi confirmed that the meeting comes as an extension to the first meeting held by H.E. Maj. Gen. Expert Rashid Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense and Excellency Aarif Obaid Al Muheiri, Executive Director of Dubai Statistics Center, and the recommendation to form technical committees playing a vital role in fostering strategic cooperation and support development between the two entities.
He also indicated that the meeting has set an excellent map to sustain cooperation and exchange experiences. "We work to utilize all excellent international applications and systems applied by DSC, which match the nature of DCD’s work, and employ them in supporting our services delivered to customers and employees. We also agreed to form teams work to set interactive boards of statistics and indicators related to DCD’s performance measurement and integrating roles somas to ensure Dubai Government strategic goals are achieved." Al Falasi added.
For his part, Janahi indicated that the highest keenness showed by Dubai Civil Defense on statistics, and its interest showcased to enhance strategic partnership with DSC, reflect its dedication to using scientific bases in the planning process, and relying on statistical data in planning operations at different strategic, operational and executive levels, which is considered one of the main proper planning pillars, as statistics is an essential element to accurately know the facts of different sectors, and one of the main inputs that support succession planning.  "DSC will spare no effort to support DCD statistically, being a strategic partner and one of the concerned entities to implement Dubai Plan 2021". Janahi confirmed. He also emphasized that, DSC is keen on making use of DCD’s innovative and successful stories in improving and enhancing the performance. He expressed his sincere thanks for the unlimited cooperation extended by the Dubai Civil Defense's management and work teams.
Brig. Rashid was accompanied by a delegation comprising Lt. Col. Abdulrahman Al Ali, Acting Director of Smart Systems Department, Major Ali Mohammed Al Falasi, Director of Fire Stations Department, Major Hamed Khalifa Al Falasi, Deputy Director of Preventive Safety Department, Captain Hamadan Al Suwaidi, Director of Civil Protection Department, Mr. Isa Bal Shalat, Director of I.T. Department, and Financial and Legal Advisors.
DSC was represented by Ms. Afaf Bu Aasibah, Director of Economic Statistics Department, and Mr. Ahmed Al Dashti, Director of I.T. and Central Statistical Systems Department.
