The Dubai Statistics Center and Union Cooperation Society signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their partnership. The signing of the MoU comes in line with the two parties' keenness to establish the basis for joint cooperation in the field of exchanging statistics data and any other field as agreed upon by the two signatory entities and to guarantee the achievement of corporate integration between the two entities representing the government and the private sectors.
The MoU was signed by H.E. Vice Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Statistics Center Tarek Al Janahi, and Director of the Marketing and Communications Department at the Union Cooperation Center Mr. Sohail Al Bastaki. The signing ceremony was attended by officials from both sides.
The two parties agreed to establish partnership basis through the exchange of statistical data and statements relevant to Dubai as per the requirements of both parties and without prejudice to the laws applicable in Dubai. Pursuant to the MoU, the Dubai Statistics Center will furnish the Union Cooperation Society with full statistical support through the design and execution statistical surveys and the smart statistics system. For its part, the Union Cooperation Society will contribute media support through supporting the Dubai Statistics Center's projects by providing advertisements and promotional slots to create societal awareness of the importance of statistics and the role of the Dubai Statistics Center in supporting the development of Dubai.
