Construction Cost Index of Dubai Surges 0.43pc in Q2-18

Construction costs rose during the second quarter of 2018 by 0..43 per cent, compared to the first quarter of 2018. It was found that the constructin costs rose by 0.46 per cent for resedntial buildings and rose by 0.33% of non-resdiential buildings, figures from the Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC) have revealed.

 

It is noted that the Construction Cost Index (CCI) in Dubai stood at rise by 4.95 per cent when comparing CCI of the first quarter of 2018 to the first quarter of 2017, a DSC report said.

General Index of Construction Costs

The statistics issued by DSC show that the raw materials and materials used in the construction of buidings stood at rise by 0.57 per cent due to a rsie in Mining Materials and Quarying Group by 5.75% and Manucfaturing Group by 0.30 per cent.

 

Additionally, prices of wages, equipment, labor and other costs category increased by 0.23% due to a rise in labor wages and other costs by 0.24% and cost of hiring equipment by 0.08%.

 

 

Residential Buidlings

The statistics also showed that the raw materials and materials used in the construction of resdential buidings went up by 0.61 per cent due to a rise in Mining Materials and Quarying Group by 5.73 per cent and Manucfaturing Group by 0.32 per cent.

 

Additionally, prices of wages, equipment, labor and other costs category increased by 0.23% due to a rise in labor wages and other costs by 0.24 per cent and cost of hiring equipment by 0.08%.

 

Non-Residential Buidlings

The raw materials and materials used in the construction of resdential buidings increases by 0.41 per cent. The surge in prices is attributed to a rise in prices of Mining Materials and Quarying Group by 5.79 per cent and Manucfaturing Group by 0.16 per cent.

 

Moreover, prices of wages, equipment, labor and other costs category rose by 0.23% due to a rise in labor wages and other costs by 0.24% and cost of hiring equipment by 0.08%.

The DSC's statistics also revealed that the raw materials and materials used in the construction of buidings went up by 7.95 per cent due to a rsie in Mining Materials and Quarying Group by 14.61 per cent and Manucfaturing Group by 7.60 per cent.

 

Furthermore, prices of wages, equipment, labor and other costs category increased by 0.67% due to a surge in labor wages and other costs by 0.67% and cost of hiring equipment by 0.67 per cent.

 

Residential Buidlings

The statistics revealed that the raw materials and materials used in the construction of resdential buidings went up by 8.02 per cent due to an increase in Mining Materials and Quarying Group by 14.59 per cent and Manucfaturing Group by 7.66 per cent.

 

Additionally, prices of wages, equipment, labor and other costs category surged by 0.67% due to a rise in labor wages and other costs and cost of hiring equipment by 0.67%.

 

Non-Residential Buidlings

The raw materials and materials used in the construction of resdential buidings increased by 7.56 per cent. The rise in prices is attributed to a surge in prices of Mining Materials and Quarying Group by 14.68 per cent and Manucfaturing Group by 7.33 per cent.

 

Additionally, prices of wages, equipment, labor and other costs category surged by 0.67% due to a rise in labor wages and other costs and cost of hiring equipment by 0.67%.
