The national accounts of the Emirate of Dubai are represented in the provision of periodic economic statements to the decision makers. Due to the keenness of the Dubai Statistics Center to implement the project of the national accounts system, the center has adopted an estimate of the GDP for the Emirate of Dubai such that it reflects the GDP at current and fixed prices for the emirate with regards to the emirate’s economy. Provision of this data is considered one of the essential requirements to support decision-makers and set future economic policies within the emirate. The GDP has been estimated in fixed and current prices for the Emirate of Dubai through the results of economic and financial field surveys which included all economic and financial activities in addition to the actual data extracted from federal ministries and local departments in the emirate. The GDP has been calculated using the methodology of production.
